I dont have the "turbo" script on the back of my car, but that was because I switched to a different decklid and spoiler. I never put another one on because I like how it looks without it.

All cars I've ever had get de-badged. Firstly for aesthetic reasons but when it comes to the RS4 it can be rather incognito in the first place. So when de-badged it slips under the Swedish laws of envy radar pretty well. Except for enthusiasts who spot it immediately.

Otherwise, you're going to get keyed, walked on or sabotaged. On my previous Beemer cab - someone walked several times over the car and roof when it was parked. And that was on a soft top...

My cars are for my own personal satisfaction so de-badging has never been an issue for me.

Yes - it's nice having a sleeper - I love it when sport sedans come up fast trying to overtake my "Cayenne" and I use my 550hp to make them disappear in my rearview mirror.

I dont share your views on the "problem" but then again, I dont know first-hand how the economy is affecting the people in your area.

Whenever I want to cruize Incognito-style I drive a Nissan Patrol or whatever car I can borrow from the office at that time.

Probably depends on where you live / where the Cayenne spends most of its time. Most clueless people will hate on you simply because it's a Porsche or even just because it's a SUV. If you're really that concerned about your safety or some how want to show 'compassion'; I would just buy an eco box and DD that.

If you are successful and have nice things, there is nothing wrong with that, IMO...even in this tough economic time. I balance this out be making sure that I participate in several philanthropic endeavors throughout the year. I give more each year...the funny thing is the more I give the more success I seem to experience. I don't do it for that reason though. There are a lot of great causes out there to support.

Enjoy your success!!!

I don't mind de-badging and even putting on sleeper badging but your motivation is a bit wacko....

Enthusiasts will notice its a turbo, anybody who is going to be upset about it isn't going to realize that by saying Turbo on the back it is any more expensive then a normal Cayenne. Sleeperbadging for the purpose of humility doesn't work. If people care they will notice either way, if they don't care they won't notice either way.

I removed the silver Cayenne badge from the back of my GTS and took the GTS badge painted it black and centered it. For your car I would probably remove the entire designation if its not already painted the body color.

I never claimed "humility" or any wacko motivation -- obviously, I'm not "humble" enough if I'm going to drive it anyway because I like it. Just wanted to see if others also felt that a long-winded badge like "Cayenne Turbo S" is obnoxious in this economic climate.

First of all most people don't know the difference between a regular cayenne and a turbo. Most people think a regular cayenne is like $100k+. Most people think a boxster is like 80gs. People have no idea what things cost. If you're really worried, you shouldn't have bought a Cayenne. Just enjoy it dude.
