well,..with 330hp and a great suspension setup,the R is already üretty damn good,.

the new CS may be faster,more comfortable etc,..but "better"?
depends on what you like imo

and I like a heavy clutch,a rattling rumbling engine and a suspension that makes me "read" the tarmac,..steering must be accurate with great feedback etc

well and the new CS may have traded in some of those features for more creature comfort or whatever..

If a sunroof ain't possible, I'll take a removable panel ala the upcoming 991 Targa

 

You arent alone. I always had my sunroof open in my 997....and then having had the Spyder i always had the top open.....this Cayman (on sunny days) is killing me! hahahaha - but i dont want another convertible

 

I think you're going to be forced to look backward - think 993 or 964 or even G series - to get that sort of experience, rather than forward to the 981. I personally love the Cayman R, even in the peridot color, but I would be hard pressed to purchase one over a used GT3 given the pricing. Hopefully the 981 will push the styling and performance envelopes without filtering out the tactility and the overall sensory experience of the predecessor.

 

I think the upcoming 991 Targa might just be the car for you! Don't know if you like AWD though.

I doubt the Burnmeister sound package will be offered on the Cayman. It's not available on the new Boxster so probably won't be on the Cayman.

can anybody affirm that?
