Anyone Order the New Boxster??!

TS,

Any of you guys pull the trigger on the NEW Boxster yet? I have been eyeing it up and really like a black one with red interior and black wheels. I also love that they now charge $0 for Euro Delivery.

My question is --- do you all think you MUST get the "S"? And what is the time frame from the day you place your order to when its ready for you to pick it up?

Cheers!

Jon

Dave(MA) put his order in for one already. I'd shoot him a PM.

I would rather get a used 997.2 gt3 than have a cayman and boxster, but if that's your thing, black over red would be stunning.

I ordered one.
I went for the S, I really like the larger engine, I drive a 987 S now. The Boxster chassies is so good, it really deserves a great engine!

Ordered in Jan, build in late April, delivery in early May.

I suppose the arrival to the US is slightly later, so I have no idea what your delivery times are over there...

Do it Jon!

Black w/red interior and black wheels happen to be my favorite color combo from the configurator, great taste! Don't forget the red top and PSE though! Are you planning on getting the manual gearbox or PDK?

My uncle will be traveling to Geneva next week to find out some more about the Boxster S, before deciding whether to order one or not. Hmm I wonder where all the reviews of the 981 and real life photos are? Figured they'd be out by now. Oh well, it's probably close!

No cars have been delivered to customers yet and no journalists have driven it, since it's not introduced officially until Geneva. What we have now is pictures... The only "unofficial" photos of one "in the wild" I have seen since the spy photos are here:
