How do the H&R's feel compared to the stock R suspension? I am getting ready to pull the trigger on the springs/spacers here any day....

dave-t is an unknown quantity at this point
I had H&R Springs on my 2010 Base Cayman until I switched then out to JRZ RS1 Coilovers. The Springs were way to bouncy and the car bottomed out all the time. I do also live outside of Washington DC were the roads are s^%t. I now have a White Cayman R like you, the JRZ's are going back on soon.

Pearl: You can do what you want. But PAG spent a lot of time & resources coming up with that special suspension for the Cayman R and most future buyers of your car will want to see it there! Even these regular Cayman guys above would love to have it!

A wiser move is to sell the Cayman R with its stock sport suspension intact and build up a regular car to your after-market specs! My dos centavos, for what is worth. And we have seen photos of your girlfriend - keep her and don't ever think of trading her in!

really man,just don`t do that

either full suspension or not at all..
just as others said,Porsche spent some good time finetuning this thing and springs alone won`t work witht the dampers etc

just get KW V1 or Bilstein PSS3

Yea i have cooled off on this idea for now. I am putting the exhaust on in a few weeks for the spring/summer and will enjoy the car that way for a bit. Might think about some coilovers in the future or might just leave it as is (its already pretty low)

Back on the hunt for a lowered look......but TIRERACK still doesnt show ANY suspension parts for the Cayman R.....although there are a few for the Cayman S of the same MY. Any ideas?? Keep in mind this 100% for looks (say what you want!) - i dont track the car and just enjoy it on the street (not pretending to be Chris Harris over here)

Cheers!

The coilover recommendation has much more to do with overall comfort and driveability than lap times. Even over the smallest bumps, mismatched shocks and springs will not dampen correctly. I personally couldn't stand it after more than a month and switched to KW and couldn't be happier 2 years later
