Hi Jcay, good luck with your build. It's taken me a year to blueprint my M97 3.8S to 4.1 using custom parts. But what you are doing here is even more elaborate. Don't be discouraged with setbacks. I've had plenty of those, yet they come and go.

^ Thanks!
Insurance is FINALLY all sorted out. Looking for a car for serious now. I was thinking Matte-White was the way to go, as this car will see a LOT of track time, and dark color are not cool (temperature), but I have seen two matte white cars in person recently and I was not very impressed. Matte Silver...? hmm
Here are some pics of my new awesome GT3 Drexler LSD to tie you guys over:

Are you considering a 987.2 car at all? Or just the 987.1 due to costs? Either way, I think a Boxster Spyder style front would be cool.
For paint, I think GT Silver Metallic with Cayman R style stripes would look good. For matte paints, I agree matte silver would be awesome.

Yes indeed!!
I've been busy sourcing all carbon fiber body parts for my project:
997.2 GT3 Cup bumper in CF:

These GT3 R fenders in CF will (if I can convince my contact to do it) be fitted with the Cup fenders. The R (at 2" wide) is too agressive.

Rear Bumper in CF:

This is getting exciting again!!!
Just doors, roof and rear fenders (this will be the tricky one) to go!
