No, and no. Outside of a CGT, a clear engine cover is very un-porsche. This whole project is going to look as close to factory as possible. A parts bin exercise you might say.

That's good that you are trying to stay with a factory look. Any time I see a Porsche that looks very tuned, I cringe (not if it is done tastefully, such as RUF, Rauh-Welt). Are you still doing the CGT style rear exhaust, or have you decided to keep that part stock?

Small minor update:
Mid Dec I was involved in a minor case of Running out of Talent, and I have been working with insurance to either repair or total the car. Car has been deemed a total now, so I am now on the market for another Cayman for this project. 07-08 Cayman S. Ideal options: No bose. SC. Auto climate. Auto mirrors. white or silver or any special order color.
I'm probably going to buy back the car from insurance and part it out. Still trying to figure all that out. Putting all the stock parts back on for insurance to haul off could be a pain.
