Need help installing SSK

Need help installing SSK
How do I remove this piece?

Do I hammer it out? Or is there a trick to pulling it out?

I believe you will need to take the entire center console out to do a SS kit.

Joe is right, center console need to come out. will also need aligning tool to set up neutral.
