I only drove it briefly while in Vegas for SEMA but it is definitely a beast! With well over 500HP It had no issues whatsoever breaking those 325's loose!

After SEMA I took it back to Patritti so we could revise a few things we had rushed just to get it ready for SEMA. (We also put the GT2 front end on and I had some interior trim swapped for leather and carbon fiber.) Then it went back to TPC so they could figure out what was going on with the variocam issue the crate motor had from day 1 when passing through 3k rpm under light throttle, and so they could upgrade the fuel system and then fully tune the turbo system since they'd only had 1 day of tuning before I yanked the car to go to SEMA. Its going well but not quite done yet and I'm really looking forward to getting it home so I can start enjoying it!

Once its 'done' we'll do full performance testing and TPC is working on setting up a track event with their race car and probably Randy Pobst as well along with several car mags.

Whenever you can make hi-res photos available, my desktop would thank you greatly.

Just amazing. Glad to see someone undertake such a monstrous build. My new favorite Cayman as well as others I'm sure. Enjoy in good health.

although i think this car looked better with the custom front (the gt2 looks bulky) it is awesome !

i though the larger x51 plenum would have helped with forced induction, any word on this tpc ?

The custom TT front end was nice but I would have been forever having to get it fixed/touched up from the enevitable bumper scrapes and I wasn't convinced the custom carbon fiber intake fins were going to hold up to regular use OR high speed runs. The bumper cover on that GT2 front end is carbon fiber but the lower lip is an OEM plastic one that only costs $150 from any dealership so it'll not only absorb some abuse before needing to be replaced but I can do it myself whenever I need to... All the internal fins etc are OEM as well so they're sturdy AND easy to replace if need be. It was done primarily for practical reasons but I never liked the TT fog light 'warts' myself so the GT2 bumper looks better (to me) and it'll stand out from the TT's driving around. A GT2 is MUCH rarer than a relatively run of the mill TT... Heh!

Glad you like it! With a project like this there will always be things that some people like and others don't but in the end its really only ME that has to be happy with it and there's very little that I'd change if I had it to do all over again.

Keep in mind that the red in many of those indoor shots is way off due to the skewed white balance from the sodium shop lights. The red in my avatar shot is much closer to reality. Also, in all the shots with the new GT2 front end the whole front bumper, hood, front fenders and rocker panels have been wrapped with "Road Armor" too.
