Spied: Rolls-Royce Ghost Coupe at the Ring

Rolls-Royce and Nürburgring are not two names we usually put together in the same sentence. But given rumors that the new Ghost-based coupe or Corniche-no name has been confirmed-will be the sportiest and best handling Roller ever, the Nürburgring seems a natural place to test. According to Rolls-Royce insiders, the coupe will be the fastest production Rolls-Royce ever to wear the Spirit of Ecstasy ornament.

We could expect a turbo charged V12 delivering as much as 600 horsepower powering the rear wheels via a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission.

This prototype is still wearing loads of camouflage and-in an attempt to fool us-no less than three door handles, but we're pretty sure the doors will open suicide-style as they do on the Phantom Coupe.

Debut is expected at Geneva in March 2013.
