Why, it's only cool when Rolls Royce does it? Faint whiff of badge-whore ITT. He's not gonna put the Spirit of Ecstay on his Benz. RR has done ONE model with the Starlight Headliner, it's not like it's some heirloom feature of theirs. If the rest of the car is well-executed, then this could be excellent.

Hi,

I have to agree with MiniRup, if done well this could be a great interior mod to a nice cruising car.

Cheers,
Nik

Install shouldn't be too difficult... just buy FO cabling and cut to fit. Finding the lighting element will be tricky. It sounds stupid but maybe go buy one of those FO christmas trees and cut the element out of it. No clue how you'd run power to it but shouldn't be too dificult. NOt sure what the roof looks like in the RR but you could probably just use one cable and lighting element and strip it and cut indivdual strands to different lenghths and poke them through the headliner where desired.

I wouldn't do it but you could probably make it look decent for pretty cheap.

Really don't understand why RR did it. Put a red heart-shaped leather bed back there and everytime you switch the headliner on the stereo automaticly starts playing erotic lounge, then I will understand it.

Oh good, for a second I thought I would be the lone voice of approval here. I say that in keeping with whatever you consider to be good taste, then follow that path, regardless of the opinions of others. As previously mentioned, if done well, this could be a great effect. Show us pics when done!

Tell him to make his car faster for the money he'd spend on the headliner... That'll always make the car more exciting than anything you could do to the interior.

Jesus, certainly one of the dumber ideas I've heard.
