Take 8 people first class that's 90k add the time saved it's not here nor there. They could do a day then cone back instead of 2.

If you buy planes like this charter is always an option. The. Problem with these top of the range business jets is there are very few pilots who are qualified to fly them.

Very inaccurate on the pilot statement, there are many Gulfstream GV/550 and Global Express/XRS type rated pilots. I must have 100 resumes alone in a file and 50 + numbers in my Blackberry that I can call and get drivers for these aircraft, there are btwn 17-18,000 private aircraft worldwide of those these represent less then 800 of those aircraft.

I knew it was only a matter of time before Bombardier built something to compete against the upcoming G650. Marc is completely correct on his statement. Finding a pilot is the easy part.

This plane is affordable for quite a few people. Consider 30 year financing on this aircraft and it brings cost of purchasing down to about $3 mil a year, maybe even less. As far as maintenance goes, I honestly don't know what it would cost, but I know not more than $3mil. So for a credit worthy buyer, theoretically $5 mil a year you could comfortably own this aircraft, and that doesn't even take into account chartering revenue. Not to mention this aircraft is pretty fuel/maintenance efficient. The older Gulfstreams (II,III & in some cases the IV) can consume up to 500-600 gallons an hour in fuel, whereas this thing runs longer with less maintenance, on less fuel.

What's the hourly operating cost on something like that? $7,000-$8,000/hr?

The who? The pilot? Oh.. those guys that sit at the pointy part of the plane. Nah, no one cares about them. lol

As far as the price, if it flies, floats or... you're better off renting

I asked my client what the hourly run rate was on his G5 a few years ago. His pilot figured about 11K with gas and general service included. It's like a Ferrari. The $25,000,000 wasn't that bad but the freaking oil changes...

Damn, that's more than I make in a month. And you have to have a pilot and flight attendants ... and then there's tire wear. Whew.

One of my friends spends over $10 mil a year keeping his 80's Bombardier in the air. This plane would be triple at least. If you buy a $65 mil plane you better f'n use the shit out of it.

The only people that should be in these are the people with FU money as others have stated. Corp's have cut way back on private flight because the general shareholder is frowning on it these days.

That being said what a ride it must be. Black looks awesome as well.
