TS Pilots: Advice needed

Things are just about finalized with my purchase of the twin. We'll be flying from San Jose, CA (RHV) to my home base here in Maryland (VKX). We'll be staying south due to weather, etc.

Looking for advice on any interesting FBOs or airfields to stop and see, interesting sights from the air, etc. anyone would recommend along the way. I am roughly planning something along the following for routing: San Jose -> Phoenix -> Galveston -> Rome, GA (family stop) -> VKX

Anything good out there anyone can recommend?

No, and I'm sure you're the same, but I always find the fbo comments on Airnav invaluable.

Have fun!!

Yeah, I'm hunting around on there, Adventure Pilot, $100 Hamburger, etc. but finding decent points along the route is the hangup. I'll just figure out legs based on bladder limitations and look within a certain radius I guess.

LOL, sure so does mine. I only like to "recycle" my bottles so many times though. I also like the fact there's enough room to get up and stretch a bit, so each leg will definitely be longer than what I was used to in the Arrow.

Fredericksburg Texas, The Hanger Hotel. Odessa Texas The Confederate Airforce headquarters, probably the best selection of WWII aircraft.

Confederate Air Force museum is an awesome idea. Thanks!! We're going to stop in Phoenix to see a friend of mine, we'll hit the CAF museum in Odessa, then New Orleans, then back up to my home base.

And here's a link to the airport

Have a great trip. Sounds fun.
