430 advice needed

hello all,

I am looking to purchase a 06 f430 coupe soon, but am hesitant to pull the trigger because of the launch of the 458. Do you seasoned Ferrari owners think the 430 is going to take a major $hit in value over the next year due to the new release? Any thoughts and opinions are appreciated!!!

I think the 430 has already taken a "hit" financially right after they announced the launch of the 458 italia. Scuderias can be bought for good deals and f430s have gone down to almost half their original sticker price here in the middle east. Not sure of the U.S. market though, I pressumed it was similar? Hope this helps

Once the 458 hits, I think F430 prices will actually stabilize a bit. A lot of people want to sit in one before they decide. Some people will want a 458 because they can. Others will want one because it is the newest, best Ferrari and they can. Others will want a 458 and they can't. Those buyers that can't will move down market into 430's, which, at this point are very affordable by Ferrari standards. So I agree with the previous post that a lot of the recent dive in F430 prices is driven by the release of the 458 (and also the recession). So I don't think you would get killed by picking up a 430. You'll probably just experience modest depreciation from this point forward.
