They actually made over 10,000 Gallardos last I heard. Crazy amount for what is essentially a supercar - they even sold more G's after one year than they sold Diablos during its entire cycle.

The last Gallardo figure I remember (before the LP560), was around 10,000.
EDIT: Jox beat me to it. Didn't see the last page of this thread.

Thank you for your honesty and input Chris! This is still the case with our dealers too as I stipulated earlier.

Too much for a $200,000 plus car. The last thing you'd want to see is 5 Gallardo's parked besides you on the traffic light, sort of like Porsche 911.

It's somewhere around there. They managed to sell 300 here even with our ridiculous pricing.

Take this with a pinch of salt.

"10,441.

There were 8,588 built between 2003 - 2008. (+ 922 in 2009 and 931 for 2010)"

I used to like the Gallardo, considered getting one in 2006. Thank God I didn't get one, I extremely hate it now because I got fed up of looking at it on a daily basis on our roads here. I dont like the fact that people drive it day to day, I feel its too show off.

Many of the used cars are rentals now, you can get a Gallardo for a whole day for around 550-$600.

That is true, I still love my Gallardo irregardless of how many were sold. I bought it because I liked the design, sound and feeling it gave me everytime I got behind the wheel.

Obviously you would know, but man, 300 in SA? I find that almost impossible to believe.
