No more Lambo's for me

Having been on these boards for years now, I'm getting the distinct impression that there is no nation on earth that is "optimal" for owning a supercar.
Whether it is enormous taxes, front plates, or draconian traffic laws, it seems there is no one country that is above all others when it comes to owning cars of this magnitude.
Am I wrong? Is this off topic, or can some of you who are European or well traveled easterners/westerners name a country that it is "affordable" and "reasonable" to own cars of this magnitude?
Since the America I grew up in doesn't exist anymore, I may want to look for a new home someday...

Been to many places, must say I always liked Germany and Zwitserland best, I'll definatly move there sooner or later

Going back to what Zeus said, I was reading an article on Dubai. Very very interesting. Can I have anyone living in/around Dubai confirm this?
Dubai- Cheapest place to own a super car
If Dubai is the cheapest place to own a super car, then hmm.. I visited Dubai about a year ago and it was probably one of the most fun I've ever had.

There are lots of nice places to drive in Dubai, like going over to Jabel Ali/Hafeet and the roads crossing the hilly area's, I am not an expert but lets wait for local's to chime in.
search for Porsche Club UAE on the forum, there are some nice pics of their drive.

From what I've seen and remember in Dubai there was a lot of sand
the roads are pretty okay, but I prefer the mountain roads in the south of France or the Alps north of Italy above anything I've seen this far.
Maybe it's just me, but I want to enjoy the full potential of the cars when on those kinda roads

Mike: I didn't watch the finance guys speech. Is this luxury tax going to only be on new car sales, or all cars over R1m?
They really starting to take the piss, as if the taxes on cars were not heigh enough. After this and carbon tax, I wonder what will be next? Leather tax, airbag tax?

I am thinking about moving to Bahrain however, my fiance is from there and she came to the states for me and I want a new adventure in life. Idk, it has been tossed into the air for a while.. maybe one day I can just make the move.
