No more Lambo's for me

Lol at least if you're wealthy in Romania you can do whatever you want. Not a great country by any measure but 180% luxury tax? In what universe does that make sense?

Having been on these boards for years now, I'm getting the distinct impression that there is no nation on earth that is "optimal" for owning a supercar.
Whether it is enormous taxes, front plates, or draconian traffic laws, it seems there is no one country that is above all others when it comes to owning cars of this magnitude.
Am I wrong? Is this off topic, or can some of you who are European or well traveled easterners/westerners name a country that it is "affordable" and "reasonable" to own cars of this magnitude?
Since the America I grew up in doesn't exist anymore, I may want to look for a new home someday...

Some of the most amazing roads in the world. Huge national pride for all the fast cars they make. Female cops wear high heels, and male cops urge you to floor it at 250kph+ because they want to hear your Lambo scream by.
I mean, Pagani was road testing the Zonda R around town near Modena. It's not even road legal, has no plates, and is so loud it's restricted from most racetracks. And these guys are just driving it around town flat out. All they get are thumbs ups.
Hell, last time I visited the factory they put me in an SV and their definition of "We can't go too fast, this is small village" was over 260kph (indicated limit: 50).
'Nuff said. I'm in love
Ya, ya, I know there are exceptions, but it's MOSTLY positive, and most places nowadays 99.9% of the factors are against enjoying your cars. Poor roads, delusional "speed is murder" mentality, roads clogged with idiotic and flat out dangerous drivers, rampant for-profit ticketing, etc.

You are right my friend, regarding the tax itself, it does not make sense. Same goes for South Africa....

My home outside Monaco is only 20 min from Italy. I am very very often in Italy working, at one point I left my Murcielago in Rome for almost 6 months, or just passing the border in order to race my cars.....Driving far into Italy for some shopping and restaurant and then driving back again.
And your oberservation about the Italian police is spot on, especially for me...
There are so many perfect roads in Italy, weather you drive on the Autostrada or small mountain roads.
