Unfortunately, as the production of manuals continues to trend downwards, manufacturers will not invest to develop them. It is sad to say the least, but speed is speed.

And there will always be the GT3!

I guess that manual transmission will not disappear on Lambos, until they will continue with e-gear, not DCT, the proper manual will be produced also, that is my personal point of view here. Just look at Ferrari's reverse move with 6-speed California, guess 458 will be next, just because there always will be buyers for such transmission.

Once manual trannies are no longer offered by Lambo, will they still charge $10K extra for the e-gear??

Don’t ever expect a 6 speed on the 458 as the chassis was only ever designed for the auto. The California on the other hand always had the option of a manual in its original design, it’s just that Ferrari once they did there initial homework they never thought there would be a market for one.

It would require a major rework of the 458 to fit a manual which would hike the price to an unrealistic level

I suddenly have ZERO interest in any new Lambos, or most new cars in general
