Future value of the RS without PDK
Ok, it looks like our new RS next year will be a PDK like the 3 already announced. Assuming that's true, do you think our current RSs will gain in value? I love my 7,10 and 11 RSs and was thinking of selling one. Now, I'm thinking of just holding on. Of course, the 4.0 is a keeper, but now the 7 and 10 are starting to look "rare" as well.

Any raw, GT based Pcar is going to become more valuable over the next year because of their manual options. It was hotly discussed even before it was concrete that the RS would be PDK only.
The days of rowing through the gears at 8k are becoming a thing of the past, sadly.

I'm afraid a 475 HP PDK GT3 is gonna be wanted by many. My speculations could be wrong, but I think once they get out and everyone starts praising the car, things in the market might change. I'm aware that a bunch of guys, including me, always want to row gears. But I have a feeling that things might soften a little in the market as time goes by. A ton of buyers may move tot he new car, expecially when a 500 HP of whatever RS hits the market. Those are beastly numbers. Remember the 2007 turbo that had 480 HP? Now we have an NA car at that from Porsche. With a better tranny than the chicktronic.

All other cars are great for driving to the liquor store or to the newest fancy restaurant. And the new gt3 with pdk will also do that really well.
The 07, 10, and the 11, gts rs's are a completely different animal. All i can say is that as soon as you take a seat in the car, you are plugged in. It's an orgasm of all your senses. And with the perfect girl, yes that one too.

The last of something is always worth more in the long run. Look at the 993TT (last air cooled) vs 996TT or even 997TT. Newer gen always faster, but not necessarily more desirable or worth more in the long run.
If we are willing to hold onto our manual GT3/RS for 5 or more years, you will then see value of 991GT3 slowly drops below us.
