They are so common and reliable/AWD that they can be daily car's, no point in getting one and not driving it or just using it for one day a week, they aren't that exciting, but this is ME!

So what would be your choice as an "exotic" given a $110k budget?

I'm going to take a guess, probably a 996 GT2 and give it some crazy horsepower.

Don't get me wrong, they are definitely exotic LOOKING, but as far as the driving experience goes, they aren't soul stirring like a real exotic should be, hence why it should then be driven a lot you know?

I would say a Ferrari 360 or even stretch a little for an F430 in the 130 range!!

Gallardo is definitely a sick car indeed, but for me, I want something that thrills me to no end while driving it, I am different from the vast majority though, take my opinion for what it's worth, my opinion!!! I'm a track guy and hardcore driver, so it's a no brainer that I would pick a GT2 or GT3 and make it a crazy driver, get a Gallardo and convert it to RWD and do suspension, buy a 360 challenge car instead of a regular 360 lol....

My point was just that, given the way the car market is, not many car's are that "special" anymore considering their affordability/availability, so why not drive the hell out of it right?

^^^^^^
I couldn't agree more. Here is my opinion from an earlier post on this thread......

I like my cars to be "old school" and I love the sound of thunder coming out of the pipes. Maybe that's why I love Can Am cars and vintage racing so much. I don't care too much for new cars, but if I had to spend $110k on a newer model car, it would be a GT2 or a GT3, not a Ferrari or a Lambo.

If we all liked the same thing, TS wouldn't be such a great place to post

Everything is relative, I guess.

I agree with illGT2, there are many exotics that can be had today and used as DD's.

NOW, something else I want to touch base upon...

FOR ALL INQUIRERS off this thread, who question arrogance in relation to a comment made by me such as "my world", may want to re think why they want a car such as this, and themselves as arrogance is often recognized by someone who has a great deal of it themselves, not to mention, insecurity as well.

Now for the record, "my world" can be viewed upon in many different ways, and in the way I MEANT IT, was an area that is populated with exotics and high end car's running around, on a daily basis regardless of weather and so on which makes them that much less exclusive.. And if you have to look into it that much to be insulted that maybe you don't live in "that world", meaning I said that with that sole intent towards that person or specific area (in which I didn't), nothing else can even be said!

Have a good 4th, good luck with the decision you make.

^ yep, i live in a similar world and knew what you meant the first time.
martin is right - these cars are becoming more affordable and technology is so advanced that you can use it daily. so why spend the dough and not enjoy it 100%?
each area is different, though.
and whether you like it or not, every car makes a statement. a VW GTI makes a statement. a black gallardo and a green gallardo make statements (albeit different). so no matter what, you should consider that when buying a car.. because sometimes its a good statement that you like, and others it is not, and that is partly based on the "where" martin mentioned earlier.
