lp560 lease or financing?
#55
I have not bothered to read the rest of the posts before posting this. Plus as will probably be apparent, I am no financial genius. So this is based on my own unchecked and uncredited thoughts. It is just food for thought.
I wouldn't put that much money down on a lease. The purpose of a lease is to pay less, not more. If you have that 100k and wanted to do a lease, I would not put more than 5k down, and in some situations 10k.
What I would do, is finance. I would put the 100k down, finance the remaining 110k. Your payments should be around 2k per month +/- $200 depending on your credit. Then I would keep the car for a year put between 10k and 15k miles on it, then sell it. You will lose much less money than in a lease. In a lease (like the one you are planning) for 2 years at 1800 a month you would be in the hole 43k plus your 100k deposit, so 140k. If you only put 10k down and paid 2400 p/m you would be in the hole about 68k. If you financed it, all the money would go towards owning the car. At the end of the year, when you decide to buy/sell you will have paid around 124k and still owe around 85k. Then based on a depreciation of about 15% your car could be worth around 180k. At the end of all of this you have probably lost around 30k in total.
So
lease= 68k
Finance=30k
Am I wrong? Please kindly correct me if I am guys.

I am not sure, because the lambo guy quoted me pretty highly, but the numbers werent correct i believed, and I have learned already so much this last week, that i told him to stop screwing with me, and do it right.... I however understand what you are saying about the lease, and have thrown that idea out of the window. I cannot say whether you are right or wrong with the numbers, bc i too am no financial genius

I have come to really like the LP560, in fact I would favor it over the LP640. Oh and the thought that an R8 V10 would be better, HAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As far as the lease or finance is concerned, I don't know if I can help you as I have paid in full for all of my cars (have yet to consider a lambo). I would think that a dealer in Florida wouldn't be especially willing to give a good lease rate, because their customers are probably not that affected by the decision.
What ever you get, please don't get a goofy color. These are great looking cars with phenomenal performance, so sometimes a color perceived as being dull (gray, don't know the exact name) is perfect and send just the right message, especially if you're the age you described in another thread.
