Spied: Jaguar XFR-S Sporting Huge Wing

We spotted the production car of the Jaguar XFR-S version of the XF before while lapping the Nürburgring, a few weeks ago, but for the first time we have some photos of the XFR-S with a massive rear wing at the back.

This is not a car that wants to cruise by the local golf club discreetly, its more of a “where is the closest race track” kind of machine. As we can see, the front spoiler will get its own design looking nothing like the XFR or even XKR-S. It reminds us more of the M5 from BMW. The side sills are also beefier, and together with the wider track and wheels, the XFR-S has a much more powerful look. At the back, the diffusor looks more marked and prominent than on the XFR, and the trunk now has a big rear wing with an integrated third brake light.

We expect that the 550hp engine from the XKR-S under the hood of this XF, and it seems the war is on for family supercars—think Audi RS6, BMW M5 and the Mercedes E63 AMG—has gotten even hotter. With the XFR-S, Jaguar is certainly knocking on the door to that esteemed club.
