Aston Martin V12 Zagato confirmed for production
My man at Aston Martin HQ has confirmed it - the V12 Zagato will go on sale to the public.
V12 Zagato - Aston Martin
It's going to be priced at GBP330,000 plus local charges and will be a run of 150 cars, between 2012 and 2013.

"Slotted in between the One-77 and the DBS sits the V12 Zagato, effectively confirming the new model's place in the company's production lineup and accompanied, in the fourth slide showcasing the model, by the statement "only a strictly limited run of road going cars will be built".
The V12 Zagato is based on the Aston Martin V12 Vantage, but features fresh bodywork penned by the namesake Italian design house. The car celebrates of fifty years of collaboration between Aston Martin and Zagato, dating back to the original DB4 GT."

To add to that info, it's a maximum of 150, but they are going to see how many deposits (£100k due now to confirm your order) they get before finalising the number of cars to be built, with a cap of 150 - quite likely to be less though IMO
Quite sensible actually, as that way they don't commit to producing more cars than demand. Delivery due to start approx summer 2012 and run through to summer 2013
Confirmation that it will be a V12V underpinning with unique wheels, some unique Zagato paint options and Zagato plaques & logos in the cabin
But the underpinnings in terms of chassis, engine, manual transmission, brakes, exhaust, interior, etc will all be exactly as in the V12V
There will be options to upgrade and incorporate track/race style options via Works Service, at extra cost of course to the £400,000 (including UK VAT) 'base price'
I've dropped out - will be a beautiful amazing car but I can't justify that price for that car......

Are you guys serious ?
I know tastes shouldn't be discussed... But where do you see charm, purity, sharpness in it, especially the rear?
Where do you see Aston Martin and its Old English Class?
I know that's for a more racing, and aggressive look, but to that point?

Look at this and then go back to the V12 Zagato.
Isn't there something wrong?
IMO that's Koenigsegg roof, GTR profile, Ferrari FF rear, and Lambo rims. Not more. I just don't see Aston identity.
But that's my opinion, and I truly respect yours.
Cheers (and sorry for my bad Frenglish!)
