Aston Martin blunder confirms supercar production
An accidental comment on Aston Martin's website has confirmed that the spectacular V12 Zagato supercar will be produced.
The stunning model was unveiled at the Villa D'Este Concours in Italy in May, and made its racing debut at the Nurburgring 24 hours in the last weekend of June, but it hadn't been confirmed for official production until now.
A comment appeared on Aston Martin's website, which read: Only a strictly limited run of road going cars will be built.
Aston initially denied that the V12 Zagato would be produced, but said it would be sending out an official press release about the car in a few weeks, which all but confirms production.
The car's body is a bespoke development by legendary Italian coachbuilder Zagato, hence the name. It features gorgeous five-spoke alloy wheels and a double bubble roof, but the shape is so curvaceous that it has to be made from hand-beaten aluminium.
Aston Martin says that it isn't possible to use the usual pre-formed panel techniques to create the necessary shapes.
The V12 Zagato is powered by a 510bhp 6.0-litre V12 engine, which can also be found in a number of other Astons. Performance figures have yet to be revealed, but expect a top speed in the region of 200mph and 0-62mph somewhere around, if not below, the four second mark.

AM is making these only to annoy James May and other people who crib about bad back.

And thats exactly why I like it.
It is raw and earnest- just how a race car should be. I find great beauty in the functional components. I can't stand when makers hide this behind huge bumpers and fake square exhaust tips.
