This may be a stupid question, but can the Performance Package be retrofitted onto one of the newer AMG models? I found a brand new2012 CLS63 AMG that's almost perfect for me, but it lacks the Performance Package.

My gut says it can't be added back on after the car rolls off the assembly line, but I figured I'd ask. Anyone know? And if not, how hard would it be to replicate the Performance Package's gains in the aftermarket?

just get a brabus remap and you are way better off...

 

^ This. Brabus or Carlsson or Renntech or DMS or Kleemann or a heap of other companies are there for you to turn the wick up. The steering wheel and rear spoiler can surely be had in the aftermarket, if you're into those.

 

Things you need:

-Limited Slip Diff
-Renntech R1 Package (tune + intercooler)

The end.

 

I would pick one with the Performance Package, more power and covered with warranty.
