Thanks Guys,

Considering that I can get a 599 for approx $100K AUD cheaper than an SLS and the fact that I already have a C63 which delivers a similar sound from a similar 63 engine.

It's sounds as though the 599 is a clear winner....

Not to mention the 599 has already hit its depreciation curve. Like Mike said, the 599 in in another league.

You can always pick up a SLS. 599 is where its at IMHO.

there was a huge comparison test in the EVO mag...
SLS and 599 are almost equally badass...but in different ways.

I think it really depends on what else you have in your garage
but the 599 is a real exotic...and produces much more emotion imo

what about a DBS?
I mean, you have pure sports/racing cars, daily drivers and now...something exquisite and sporty would fit in very well

DBS is very dated, and frankly, the interior is NOT even on par to it's price tag.

Id have the 599, however a few things need to be considered.

1. In the UK 599's of 07+ can be had for around 60k less than the SLS.
2. The SLS has a "1.5yr waiting list". To get a fast one you will be paying over the odds.
3. The 599 is a Ferrari and in the UK at least you will look a far more flashy bugger in the Fezza. Take this as you will.
4. The SLS has an auto box, meaning it is not the drivers car the 599 is.

The list could go on but i consider the above the main points. What this means is there is only a very small chance you will be deciding between the 2 cars. The likly hood is if you have put a deposit down for the SLS its becasue it is the car that suits you rather than the 599 IMHO.

Incorrect. The SLS has an AMG only dual-clutch transmission.

As much as I like the SLS, it's a Mercedes vs a Ferrari. You tell me.
