I know that it just came out. But with the 6.2 liter V8's being replaced with a 5.5 twin turbo V8, any one think they will change the motor in the SLS?

 

the 6.2 will be exclusive to the SLS, they might bring out a GT3 version of the car and also a Black series. Black series I am very sure it will come out with a Twin turbo engine who knows maybe a V12. However you can order sport suspension on the car and sport bucket seats with the current SLS.

 

The engine in the SLS is specific to the car. It is the only car to have it. I doubt they would go through the trouble to change the engine in the car as they will only build it for a few years.

I think I also read that the GT3 version has the 6.3 as well. Again, I seriously doubt that a GT3 or Black Series would have a different engine. The SLS seems to be built around the engine.

 

All very good points. I always thought that the SLS motor was pretty much the 6.2 V8 with forged internals and new tune? Is there more to it?

 

Quite a bit is different than the standard 6.3. The biggest difference is that it is a dry sump motor.
