Anyways, I'm really impressed by the new SL... at first glance I didnt like the new designs cue's. But after seeing it in the flesh, it really looks nice.

Some of my impressions on the car, im not much of a writer so bare with me, the car is much faster than I expected, the handling is much much better. The torque curve is far superior to the previous 65 and it far surpasses the 55. At times the car feels faster than the 430 and 997TT. From what my contact tells me the car is a hair slower than the SLR around the track and straight up (and that was by force, not by choice)

On a side note, I despised the look of the car until I saw it in person, and after getting to spend a good amount of time with the car and witnessing the comfort and improvements they made to the car, I grew to love the car.

I am sure if you race the F430 from a roll, the SL63 would be ahead the torque difference will put it ahead and the 7speed auto shifts much quicker than the SL55's 5 speed and keeps the rev high all the time than falling after a shift which is similar to the BMW's SMG.
