atlshaver is an unknown quantity at this point
Wow, what a find! Any concerns about the low miles, as in gaskets, seals, etc?

Yup, true that. You ended up keeping the BS right?

You should take some pics of the pano roof on the SL, I love those and never see them on the road.

Nope, not even a little bit. We also just bought a 2005 E55 wagon and it's had both valve cover gaskets replaced already at 30k miles so if it happens on the SL there is a warranty to cover.

Yes, still have the BS.

Here is one of the pano roof with the screen closed. I'll get one with it open. It's a must have feature in my opinion.

Just for kicks, here is a "before" picture.....

After:

Wow, what a buy! You're making me miss my ex-SL's - what lovely cars! I like the previous shape far more than the current one as well.

Chuck, did you keep the fan wheels? I love those wheels, remind me of the CLK GTR. My top three MB wheels are those, the turbines from the SLR, and Monoblocks. I agree about Pano being a must have, I've been thinking about a E55 as a next car.

I always keep the original wheels b/c when/if it comes time to sell they'll go back on the car.

The pano roof is really a cool feature even on a convertible!
