So they just replaced the logic board, but it's still crashing. Guess it will have to go back again.

My BlacBook has been freezing and crashing a ton after I installed Lion. Plus the right speaker went out. Plus it's one month out of warranty. Oh well. All livable things I guess. Not a single mark on it...

Lion makes my boot up time so much longer. I would rather go back to SL as I use none of the new features. I love fast start up/shut down times.

If you're only a month out of warranty you may want to just take it to an apple store or call AppleCare, they may still be willing to help.

Lion likes lots of ram given some of the changes to spotlight and Safari. If you're running 2G or less, you may want to shove a bit more in.

It's also a good idea to follow the steps in my troubleshooting thread-- specifically, repair disk permissions, verify the disk, check the boot log and see if anything weird is going on, etc.

i had/have this exact same issue.

at first, i thought it was overheating & the graphics card was shutting off. but that wasn't it. i can run the computer up to 80 degrees Celsius & it'll run for hours.

what does it then? Flash on Chrome seems to be a culprit. Teamspeed on Chrome would shut it down daily (i view Teamspeed on Firefox w/ absolutely no issue now.) Embedded YouTubes on Chrome in a forum will also do it from time to time.

i haven't taken mine in yet b/c i can't go w/o the computer for 2-3 weeks. try to pay attention when it happens & see if you can discern a pattern.

At first I thought it was a browser issue too, because most of the crashes would happen when launching Firefox while Safari was running. But it also crashes in iPhoto and Photoshop. Very frustrating. I was trying to work on a project in PS last night and after 3 crashes, I gave up.

It may be a ram error. I would get some new sticks to check out.

Just took it back to the Apple store. They said all 4 kernel panic logs from yesterday point to the graphics card driver but that it is most likely a software issue. They want me to re-install Lion.
