Yes. It sucks. The Air clamshells are like paper and very easy to damage, even with plastic tools.

Ahh, I was almost positive it was a different display module, I still see different PNs in GSX (which very well could be acting up). I'll probably check out the repair manuals tomorrow just out of my own curiosity.

I probably won't be offering any MBA LCD swaps to customers any time soon then.

The new ones with a ssd and more ram would be faster due to the ssd, and better at multitasking due to more ram

The new MBA feels faster without a doubt...if I use PR on the air, I am sure it would make a nice difference...not sure I care all that much right now..
