no clearance on the "old" airs? i want to pick up a base 11" for traveling.

Well, I'm not too stoked on Lion so far. I don't like the GUI changes, everything feels washed out, scroll bars still don't match anything else, whole OS now feels very bland.

The way they changed some of the apps, like Mail, worked really well. However the changes to some, like iCal, are just bad.

Everything seems a bit snappier though, and I do like the mission control setup so far. Maybe everything else will grow on me.

guys I have a question...

if i download lion do i need to do a backup of all my files first or not?
like does it format my HD or does everything stay in place?

You don't need to do a backup, your old files will still be there.

I'm 1000% sure, I've upgraded to Lion on my iMac and MacBook Air without any issues...all my files still remain and it was a breeze.

ok perfect... i'll do it as soon as I can... how long did it take to download with your connection?

My connection here in france sucks BIG TIME so i dont know if I should wait till I go to germany or italy.. but I bet I will end up doing it this weekend..
