It does not scratch easily like the plastic phones. If you don't drop your phone you can get by without a case and your phone will be mint after a year.

If you want protection, then there are 2 optimal options:
1) Wrapsol - an easy to apply skin which provides scratch protection and some drop protection. The phone will look naked but it will have some protection. I have been using this and dropped my phone a few times but it still looks mint.
2) Otterbox defender. If like my girl you are prone to dropping the phone a lot, and have broken phones in the past, this case will make your phone indestructible. Can withstand hard impacts, and being splashed with drinks, rain, etc.

Whaaaaaaat. This phone scratches more easily than anything I have ever owned in my life.

I have made a point not to keep it in the same pocket as anything else, ever, and am for the first time actually pretty careful about a phone. Yet its backside looks absolutely terrible, as if someone attempted to scratch it, and there are a few major scratches on the display as well. And I have never even been near anything remotely sharp with it.

Glass finish sucks ass and you have a new scratch on it if you as much as put it on your bedside table.

Are you sure you and the others at the office didn't order iPhånes from Bangladesh instead? It seems like your phones are all acting very strange.

I wish! We now have 12 different ones and every single one is the same. While I have learned to like some aspects of it, it is still useless for anything remotely important!

I got a little 'venture shield' put on the face of my iP4. Works like a charm protecting it.
