If you want protection, then there are 2 optimal options:
1) Wrapsol - an easy to apply skin which provides scratch protection and some drop protection. The phone will look naked but it will have some protection. I have been using this and dropped my phone a few times but it still looks mint.
2) Otterbox defender. If like my girl you are prone to dropping the phone a lot, and have broken phones in the past, this case will make your phone indestructible. Can withstand hard impacts, and being splashed with drinks, rain, etc.
goincase.com Every case I have for all my devices is from them. I love all their styles.

I miss the blinking LED that the BB had, to alert you about a new message or email.
Also don't like to have to unlock the iphone everytime before it opens.

i mean the battery won't last 3 days like your old blackberry, but you have to realize this phone is 10 times better than the blackberry, and im sure it takes alot more power to run, so the fact you can get 10 hours on a single charge is pretty remarkable in my opinion

Yes it is annoying since the BB seemed to alert you more to messages. There are a lot of trade-offs here for sure, a lot.

DJ, that is the exact same case I have and it's amazing! I strongly reccommend it actually. I've had it on my phone for like 2 years now and it's been great. It's nice and smooth, and very durable. My phone has been dropped, thrown, flung....you name it. It's very easy to take off and put on as well.

Android has blinking led notifications! I went to buy the iP4 on Verizon and couldn't part with my HTC incredible.

I've tried several different cases for the iPhone4 and the Atomic hybrid cases are the best I've found.

Not cheap, but a slick case.
