It's primarily used for 'net surfing' photo's, itunes, email and movies when traveling.
This seems odd to me, why buy something small then add something large to make it better? Why not a laptop with keyboard attached?

I'm getting one of the new ones whenever it comes out so we can use it quickly in the car or for quick internet needs. I'd never use it all the time digital keypads are HORRID with caps for a reason.

My droid will act as a Hot Spot anytime I want it for the Ipad so we can use it in the car very easily so that will be a nice feature for the traveling and road trips my wife and I do. With or without kids it should be perfect.

I wonder if it will have voice recognition when the new one arrives like my Droid for scanning internet, sending emails, maps etc. The voice recognition in my Droid is so cool. I know it's not near as good on the Iphones. The camera is just one of the reasons I'm holding out.

Mark-One thing I REALLY miss from my Droid is Goggle Sky- that application is one of the neatest apps I've ever seen.

I already have a laptop, which is used primarily for work. But it's a good point and I'm trying this out to see how I manage with it. I might just say 'screw it' and sell this, and buy a mac book pro or something. The 'best' thing I like about it is that I don't have to use a mouse. Just flick the screen and it works awesome. I use a mouse all day and it's given me carpal tunnel. I'm ashamed to admit that; but it has.

This white collar work will be the death of me. lol

I totally agree surfing the net is cool on the Ipad. When I got to type 1 word I hate everything about it. Goggle's is cool and I know that Iphones have a similar function but you need a camera.

The voice rec could be cool if that's what they are working on. I've got friends with Iphones that think the Droid Pro's voice rec. is a million times better.

So a camera and a microphone with good software to recognize my voice and I think the Ipad will be worth it. This way I never have to type again when using it and will definitely use it more for quick references. With my Droid I really don't need it but the larger screen and size of the Ipad will make it a well used device I believe in our house by everyone.

They have some great features. Sorting thru the net in a blink is really so cool. I'm sure it will be perfect for the occassional things I will use it for. My wife keeps her recipes in some forum as well so she can have it in the kitchen way easier than her cumbersome laptop. I'm looking forward to getting one for sure.

It will be really cool if they throw in some voice recognition stuff. That digital keyboard still blows chunks and I will never like one.

yep Droid Pro and love all but the battery life. It sucks but I can always charge it so the real test will be skiing this year. I'll be curious to see how well it does in the cold. Screen time kills it the most so it shouldn't be a problem but we'll see. I've not purchased the extended battery yet but will for sure.
The voice recognition texting, web surfing, email making is great. Fast thru the internet in general and wastes no time pulling up pictures etc.
