When will the next Ipad come out?

If you have an iPhone, don't buy a 3g iPad. Save the cash and tether the iPad to the iPhone, no prob. I have the wifi only, and can use it anywhere.
Oh and more ontopic, the next iPad should be in April/may and with a possible carbon fiber back.

How do you tether the iPad to the iPhone? Need to jailbreak first?

Yes, jailbreak the iPhone. Its not necessary to jailbreak the iPad.
I wouldn't be afraid to jailbreak the iPhone. Ive jbd 3 of my iPhones, with NO negative effects. Its worth it even if you never do anything other than tether.
If you want more info, PM me.

According to an article yesterday, it will be released in January. They have two events planned for early next year. Speculation is, one in January for the new iPad, and one in April for new MacBook Pros with light peak technology and a Final Cut refresh.

In making sense with Apple’s release schedule, the iPad is due for an update in January. Apple reportedly has two special events planned in the first quarter, which would likely mean that we’d see one in January for the update of the iPad, then another in April.

If the iPad has FaceTime, it could be a great feature to wait for if you use it.

I bought a 16g the other night. After using it for a little bit and finally putting it into the case so it sits up a bit- I'm liking it more. I'm going to add the wireless keyboard, I think it'll be easier to type on when I'm home. I could care less about the face-time and won't want the added expense of 3g service with it. It's primarily used for 'net surfing' photo's, itunes, email and movies when traveling.
