iPad internet speed .....

Mine seems very sluggish on any network I try it on.

Any suggestions from our resident Mac gurus?

Mine works great on both 3G and Wi-Fi.

Not as fast as the iPhone 4 though.

I think it will be faster if you remove it from Jox's ass before using. You might need to buy a set of iNose Plugs tho.

Assuming you mean while talking to a cell network...

Problem: AT&T's network sucks donkey balls.

Solution: Get a Sprint or Verizon mobile hotspot and connect to it with the iPad.

One little bitch I have about my iPhone; when you're in both a WiFi and 3G area; SHUT the WiFi down. The phone loses it's mind and doesn't know which way to pull the data and the pages either take forever or won't load at all.

Learned that little trick from a buddy.

With the last iOS update you have to take the extra step to shut apps down. So if your iPad has been on for a long time, you could have every app you've been using running in parallel in the background.

Double click the home button to bring up the list of open apps at the bottom of the screen. Then click the ones you want to close.

That could be impacting your speed as well.
