I just got it and it is worth every penny. It is much better than a net book. Very easy to use.

That's an interesting comment. My kids can type documents (homework), print, and save them on a Netbook. The iPad replaces that functionality? (at 2-3x the cost?)

Seems like great device although the knocks have been mentioned such as lacking flash, no usb, no camera. HP just released a new video for their HP Slate. Looks interesting.

Does Apple own HP these days?

Because jesus christ, that slate has the same functionality and features as the iPad software.

Strolled into the Palo Alto Store today with my kids who are on spring break. This is the store that I guess Jobs walked into on Saturday. The place was empty and I asked one of the "Geniuses" how things have been since Saturday. Answer...”slow on the iPads just a lot of lookers”. My 15 year old daughter looked at her iTouch and said this looks and feels like a heavy iTouch. We couldn’t get what the rave was all about and went to eat lunch underwhelmed.

With a netbook the content on the screen cannot be enlarged, scrolled, moved as easy as an ipad. the ipad is very portable and lighter, longer battery life.
It fits me for what I want it to do. anything else I use the i mac.
