Ok now I'm getting interested, I prolly won't pick one up before either prices come down or disk space increases but it seems like an awesome device for casual browsing and stuff. Plus, 12 hours of continuous video playback, holy cow!

 

hmm...12 hours of movie watching...perfect for my daughter to watch Barney and Curious George on iTunes

 

I was thinking for the same purposes on the go!

 

I'm not quite sure why one would want a lot of disk space. I mean ... I have almost 1Tb worth of movies and music ... wether it is 16 or 64Gb doesn't make a difference.

I would honestly go with the 16Gb, and just stream my media off a network drive. There are more and more adapters for that.

Unless there's a hidden reason one should have a lot of memory space on the iPad per se?

 

Well I think something like 64Gb would make it more of an alternative to a laptop to take with you on vacation or whatever than the 16Gb iteration.

 

Huge mistake on Apples part for even including 16 gig. They should have ditched it and went with 32,64, etc. You will be amazed at how fast 16 gigs will go nowadays.
