According speedtest im seeing .90 Mb down/.28 up...cruising around tethered via BT at the moment and actually impressed compared to my old Verizon broadband card...

While tethering via cable is not as convenient as BT, it is faster. BT maxes out at 2 Mbps. This is a limitation of BT technology.

And that's if your network has the capacity too.

Anyone else lose their ability to connect to Wifi after upgrading to 3.0?
There are threads about this on the Apple discussion forums but AFAIK there are no fixes. I'm kicking myself for upgrading!

Using it now on TMobile. MMS is great.

Haven't heard about WIFI issues... sorry.

no issue after upgrading to 3.0. wifi works just fine. is there an option to upgrade again, kinda like a reinstall? if not, maybe it's under warranty still (iphone is 1 yr)?

UPDATE

I spoke with Apple about the problem. There is a known problem that is affecting a minority of 3G phones that cause the problem that I experienced. They are not sure why it is happening but the remedy is to exchange phones. So, I went to the Apple store and they gave me a new 3G. I'm restoring the new phone now....we'll see!
