Will the DVD Super Drive for the Air work on my iMac?

I want to add an external USB drive so that I can get Handbrake to rip 2 DVD's at a time on my iMac.
I was browsing external, USB DVD drives... will the Apple Super Drive (tagged for the MacBook Air) work on an iMac?

I heard it will only work with the Air. If you are looking to pick up an external drive, I have had the LaCie external for years and have never had any issues with it.

Thanks Michael. I'll probably pick one of those up.

No, the drives only work with the MBA.

Yes I also have a Lacie, and find it very good, though I rarely use it with my macbook.
