Problems 'syncing' Mobile me with MacBook

Can't seem to get Mobile me and my Powerbook synced..I go to System perferences>Mobile Me>Sync

Then there is a check box to sync and I select it..

Below that are the things to sync but they are all 'ghosted' and I am unable to select any of the options..

help!

Your computer has to be able to connect to the .mac servers in order for syncing options to become available. If everything is grayed out, there's probably a network issue.

Once you check the 'Synchronize with MobileMe' checkbox, it will connect to the servers and the options will become available, unless something prevents it from doing so like a firewall, et al.
