Just like my moms mini...i didn't like it on that and i'm sure i wont like it on this, though it does make sense for hardcore racers. I've read many complaints concerning the placement of the shifters you referenced as it can be difficult to change gears at extreme angles.

The steering wheel does look too busy.

I'm willing to resreve judgement until I try the buttons. But even if they turn out to somehow be better than paddles, I still won't get it cause that steering wheel looks like crap.

I was really looking forward to the PDK. Too bad Porsche didn't use F1 style paddles though.
And regarding the gear lever to make PDK shifts, am I the only one that thinks upshifts should be made by pulling the lever back and downshifts should be made by pushing the lever forward?

+1 That is how it should be. Otherwise the g-forces work against you if the paddles work as Porsche explained.. :S They've really messed up the pdk-shifter.
