there would be no internet if this was the case... people just complain about buttons and other stupid crap and miss the point.
levitas and i went for a drive yesterday... guy has owned 7 997s and said the only one this is inferior to is his cup car.

14 way seats..
i drove the same car as silver one today and it's amazing, better than any 911 i've ever driven... not as pure as the original 911's but a true luxury sports car..
so glad i ordered one back in november because as soon as these start seeing the streets the order forms are going to be backordered like no other..
now i just got to wait for my build date and a month on the boat.

in GT3RS form
I had a blast taking the car out last night with Geoff Jr. It quite possibly is the most fun I've had in a street car. Not only is the car very fast but it feels fast. The sound of the PSE was simply amazing and just added to the experience. For my tastes it was perfect. The car is too hard to describe as individual components but it's more of the whole experience. You have to drive it to understand. I can't wait until mine shows up which should be in a couple of weeks. Car is completed waiting to get on a boat.

PSE, PDCC, Yellow belts, PCCB, 5mm Spacers, Full leather, Sunroof DELETE, Crests in Headrest, Sport Chrono, Power Steering Plus, Telephone module, Burmester, Entry and Drive, Adaptive seats with heat and vent, Dynamic Lights, and the coolest option of all........Painted Key which I of course will have to clear bra. Will get Ducktail when available and clear turn signals should be waiting for me in parts when the car gets here. Geoff Jr. you can chime in if I forgot any options.

Lets get down to the facts - Sport Auto tets on the Nürburgring (always the same driver - not paid by any manufacturer etc)
1. 991S - 7:44 (with heavily modified suspension + worst ever recorded wet time- clearly showing that these tires were designed for ony thing); time for the 997.2S was 7:50 by the way - it was the S and not the GTS..
2. 997.2 GT3 7:40
3. 997.2 GT3RS: 7:33
4. 997 GT2 7:33
5. 997 Gt3 4.0: 7:30
6. 997 GT2 RS: 7:24 (record holder)
A Cup Car has not been tested - but here in Germany there is racing series called "Porsche Sports Cup". - in these series Cup cars and other drive on the same circuits. On average a Cup car is about 15 seconds faster then the fastest GT2 RS !!!!
So - let the internet be there to exchange viewpoints, to discuss on teamspeed, to enjoy cars..but stop this bs..
The 991S is a seriously fast car - no doubt..but stay on the ground my friend..

but how do you know that the other cars(e.g. 997 GT3) did not have the stock power output,suspension parts,camber etc?
they could and probably do always send modded cars

which are 2 cars not to be compared...
the 997 GT3 is only that fast around the ring if you fight for it..
the 991 does it in a much more "relaxed"(not meaning way less exciting ) way to get close to GT3 times

Hmm...if you say that the "only thing a 991 is inferior of is a CUP CAR"..what could we be talking about?..about looks, comfort, daily usability, mpg.?.in all the four 991 is certainly NOT inferior..so what else could it have been?
The only thing a cup car can do better than a 991 is "Speed"..
