I think you are rather alone. Look at the sales figures. The S is the biggest seller out of the 911's. A none turbo 911 is nothing like a V6 Mustang or Camaro, you just got things completely wrong.

No I don't have them wrong. It's my opinion and it's fine if yours is different.

the thing is i never really liked 996 both interior and exterior, the 997.2 on the other hand i do adore the exterior and interior is clean and sporty like. if i had to choose back then i would've gone 997 S,

+1 ...I never liked the 996(no offense to owners, just my opinion). The decision is a bit tougher between a 997.2 and 991. After all, we are talking about a completely new chassis and body, whereas the 996 vs 997 was more of a huge refresher(some may argue this for the 997.2 vs 991).

Seeing how some dealers are anticipating the arrival of their launch cars in Dec, you should really hold out another month or two.

I would buy a 2012 Platinum Silver with Black Aerokit coupe. Manual transmission, Bose, silver seatbelts, painted center console, xenons, self dimming mirrors. The armrest would have to be in Alcantara with the "Porsche" logo as well. Wonder where I could find that?

You're alone. All alone. Very, very alone. As in, all by yourself. Nobody else around. Like on a deserted island, but without Wilson.

Now, go post some boobs in the manly thread...

Not disparaging your opinion but I would rather have a naturally aspirated Carrera. You can wind the hell out of a C2S and still use it. Wind out a Turbo and your on the binders. Yeah, it kicks ass, but dynamically I want a car I can use, not just hold on and fly.

On a different note if you do the Turbo you may as well go really over the top and do the APR ECU and exhaust upgrade. I have a bunch of clients who have. Stupid fast.

When you order your own, haha. I was telling OP to hold out, so he can see the car in flesh. What's another month or so, it really could help settle his dilemma.

Actually it's sitting on my showfloor directly out of my office. (DJ, I was not soliciting a sale, I was making a joke)
