991 Allocation: Four December Build 991's Available to Spec

laptin,
just a quick rule of thumb. Supply and demand. Initially there is going to be no discount as there will be huge demand for these cars and also Porsche have cut down the supply to keep demand/price up. I can tell you one thing, don't worry about the price. For example, let's say the car you want is 120k, even a 5% discount is 6k off. For 6k i would not lose sleep, once you get the car it will be all worth it and the enjoyment / joy you will get out of the car. (but yes a discount would be nice).

Apologies in advance if this is wrong place to ask.
So if I am looking to custom order an 997 or 991 (not ones in the dealer's lot), will there be room to negotiate the price down? Or they will sell it to you at MSRP no discount because it is custom order?
I have been saving up a really long time and finally almost enough to buy a 991 or 997
THanks,
laptin

When the 997.1 came out there wasn't a car that came in for a longgg time that wasn't already sold with a customer name on it and it's my guess that 991 will be the same way.

I know i would like to have the lastest model. Also, i have owned a 08 911 c2s pretty nicely optioned. Later I realized that the best porsche I drove was a base model with minimal option. All the options are nice but over time you realize the most amazing part of the car is the dynamics of driving and the engine. Looks like you have waited a long time to get into this, so i would take enough time to get the right car.

Was your Dad able to tell you anything about them? e.g Roof type, or anything else. Also do you know when the Cab might be available or even revealed?
