997 for a DD?

Who drives a 997 daily? Pros / cons, problems etc. I love the M5 but I'm a Porsche man at heart and I can't afford both, at least in this environment. I'm just curious to hear if that would be a bad decision. The nice thing about the M5 is I took my freinds to the airport today, and the luggage, I can put my real estate signs in the trunk, and tote around my other gear for business and golf clubs and whatever. On the other hand, I want a Porsche, dammit.

One word. Hellz yes....oh, wait, that's 2 words

M5 is no doubt a better DD, but a 997 would be a great choice as well.

I daily drove three different manual tranny 911s in LA traffic over a 14 yr period. How is this even a question?

Well, if he wants to lug around more than one person at a time, work stuff, luggage, and sticks, then it's a terrible idea.

It's only a question because I've never had a 911 as my only car. But I like where the advice is going because I just want to say **** it and do what I like.

I was thinking something like this.... I get antsy sometimes for something different.

Vegas checkout my posts. I just bought an 06 c2s for 47.5k out the door with 32k miles. Fresh service, tires, brakes, the lot. Not cpo but fully checked out. I had been shopping for about three weeks. As for a Dd that wants to car work shtuff around and people and clubs err kinda cramped.

Thanks pally, I didn't see a direct link. I know that four year old 997S is pricey, I only posted it as an example of what I have in mind. I have the bug again, some of us are able to fixate it (Jamie) quicker than others. Just sayin, I want a 997.

Do you bring your clients around with you? If so, you'll be limited to carrying one passenger, or making the others sit in the tiny back seats. Other than that issue, the 911 is a brilliant daily driver.
