So it's just a widebody 911 S?
Well, they didn't had that yet.
Stupid thing is though, if you buy one now, you know you're going to have a Porsche that looks just like a regular 911 S and there is coming a new 911 soon. So I don't see the point buying one.

Is anyone on this forum going to buy one? So yes, let me know
It's much more than 'just a widebody S'. This car is set apart by a special interior, suspension, steering wheel, engine enhancements, new exhausts, a slightly re-designed rear bumper, a new front bumper, new side skirts, and black or silver graphics depending on the color. This is the perfect 911.

I think the car should have more exterior changes from the base and S 997. Aerokit in front and may be a different rear would have been great. It's still got rear seats which is a huge plus as a DD over GT3. This would be the 997 I would buy if I were in the market. Kudos to Porsche.

How much more is this than C-S or C4S?

I think it's awesome, though. Best DD 911 this price side of a Turbo. GT3 would be a rough DD, this is 90% of the fun, a little cheaper, widebody, and BETTER for normal commutes.

Definitely a cool combo, IMO.

Just over 10 grand more. That's amazing value when you consider the power kit alone is 16k. Basically, the GTS is 103k, and if you optioned out and custom ordered a C2S to match the GTS, you'd probably be looking at a price tag of 120k+. It's a very good value. Also, the black diffuser in the rear makes the car look wider and very stable.

It's not special enough to justify the price. Give me a GT3 all day, any day.

I agree, and this is the ultimate spec for a 911 for me to daily drive. No where near as rough as my old GT3 but with enough sporting pretensions and. lack of 4wd.

Sign me up.

This is how Porsche extracts more value out of the last of the 997's. Same with the Turbo "S". They did it with the 996's as well. It's good marketing, and they've gotten better at extracting value from the last of a particular model before a new introduction. This is actually a cool car, as well as the 997 Turbo "S", as opposed as something just badged as "limited edition".
