Chris from Cali's DC to Laguna Seca Pilgrimage

Hey everyone, we made it to Knoxville and are about to link up with the Hinkles... Early reports:
1) The seats are totally comfortable. After 7 hours or so of driving, neither of us is achy, tired, etc. My wife commented that it almost feels like we did a cross-country plane trip it went by so quick.
2) The carbon seat backs have some ridiculously hard finish on them. I am very careful putting the bags in/out, but when they do hit, it's just a quick wipe with the microfiber and they're back to normal.
3) Cops in VA suck bad. We literally saw 20+ cops doing nothing but setting up speed traps - I almost got zinged twice. We had an unmarked in front of us for a good 10 miles and he didn't pull one person over that went flying past, making terrible lane changes, etc. I think he was waiting for us to pass so he could nail "one of them there Porshes".
We're off to the Hinkle shop and then dinner. Will post pics later!

I got 3 tickets in one sitting with the same cop in DC. And while he was filling them out he told everyone walking by that I thought I could do whatever I wanted just because I drive a Porsche. Then he didn't show up for court

Day one is in the bag. We had a great time visiting with the Hinkles (dhinkle and MiniD) as well as with Jared (aka BlaktOut). We couldn't have asked for nicer hosts! After a tour of the race shop, we all went to dinner and talked cars for a couple hours. I think my wife's poor ears were going to fall off! Thanks again to our gracious Knoxville members, dhinkle, MiniD, and BlacktOut.
Here are the highlights:
Starting the day off with the usual Starbucks
Breaking the 4000 mile mark
Ferdinand keeping the dream alive
Epic
Gassing up and trying to avoid the po-po
Noah's Flood, part 2
Welcome to Tennessee
Inside the Hinkles' shop
The car dhinkle is keeping warm for me
David, Connor, me, Jared
More to come tomorrow when we hit Little Rock and see Russ aka MexicoBlue!

This trip is awesome so far... We might extend the magic - my buddy is getting married in SD the weekend after the Historics, so we might just hang out in Cali and stick around. We were originally going to fly back to DC then back to SD, but why bother?
BTW, you HAVE to read what's on that guy's truck...
