Today was awesome - didn't cruise around the paddock much since we had to stage real early for the parade laps.

I DROVE TWO LAPS OF LAGUNA SECA!!! It was a lot of fun. Fortunately the PCA, SCRAMP, and the Monterey Sheriffs were cool and let us hang back and then rip it once in a while. Nowhere near an HPDE or track day, but definitely better than other parade laps I've done. My wife took some great pics and some video. If anyone wants to volunteer to edit the videos, PM me and I'll email you the raw footage. If not, then I'll do it when I get home next week.

I'll post pics and stuff later - we're off the aquarium!

Chris, when you get back, I'd like to check out the raw footage. Is it in 1080/720p? I got some pretty decent (for home use) HD editing software a while back, I'd love to mess around with some good footage. Here's a short vid I threw together with some (very jumpy and noisy) footage I took riding shotgun in Rolling Thunder this year... I'd love to try and improve on that with your footage

Oh, and here's a picture of Super Soap with your old wheels to get back in the general Porsche-centric theme of the thread

Good job reppin' TS!! That 964 is perfect in every way. I've seen it in Excellence and around the interweb, any ideas on what the owner wants for it?

Steve - The video was shot with my wife's point and shoot - I think it's like 640 x 480...

JC - No idea on the price, but after the laps today, my wife understands why I need a track toy.

I'll post pics later... promise!

as if it already wasn't worth the money, that comment right there made it worth it!

I'm definitely jealous of your laps. I took a sweet ride of my own today to pick up some soap

I can't emphasize to you guys what an icon Compagno's is in Monterey. He is routinely voted best in Monterey year after year. The fact that he's a great guy and really took care of me when I was there make it a whole different level. He provided the cake for my wedding a couple years ago...

Orlando - I usually don't go to any concours events. The typical person there finds me undesirable.
Thanks for the heads up about Compagno's. Travis and I made sure to stop by on Sunday after the Concours and it was easily the best sandwich I've ever had! Bennett (the owner) even made it for us himself when he found out we knew you. He's a great guy and he knows how to make one hell of a mean sandwich!
