Latest News on Facelift 997

Who knows if it's for real, but . . .

http://auto-presse.de/news-auto.php?...w&newsid=23692

Since it's in German:

August deliveries for 997C2 Mk II
345hp Carrera, 385hp Carrera S
Fuel consumition: less than 10 l/100km (23.5mpg)
In October, 4 and 4s versions
PDK and LEDs will be avaiable

So with X51, that would give the S 411hp, roughly the same as the 996TT (of course torque will be much less than the 996TT). That would be effen sweet!

411 HP in a non turbo is huge gains. I am assuming it would be alot less to maintain then a turbo as well. Thanks for the post!!

25.02.08 - With more HP the revised model row Porsche 911 is to go in August 2008 to the start. The entrance variant Carrera carries 254 kW/345 out HP after the Facelift according to "automobile week" instead of so far 239 kW/325 HP. The fuel consumption sinks owing to new gasoline direct injection from at present eleven on under ten litres per 100 of kilometers. 911 S wins 30 HP and carries from now on 283 kW/385 out HP. The model-maintained all wheel versions 4 and 4S follow only in October. Optionally a double clutch transmission with seven courses as well as new LED rear lights are available mid/sas for the new 911er

Woah.. Porsche is really putting their game-face on..!!
Might be time to start thinking of a GT sliver with two-tone terra-cotta interior and some sport designo wheels on a x51 997S

I wonder if after making 385 hp out of the NA 3.8L, they'll be able to massage another 21 HP reliably with the X51?
